Vicki comes to us from Mile Hi Church in Lakewood and has been a church Music Minister and soloist at various churches since she was 18. Vicki has taught college, high school and elementary school and currently teaches private voice out of her home. She also has a choir of foster/adopted children who sing with adults. Becky Stevens
/ Associate Director of Music / Music Office – 208B
Celebrating her 20th year at Smoky Hill UMC, Becky accompanies the choirs, provides service music for the three Sunday worship services, plays keyboard for Soul Support Praise Band and directs the 4 handbell ensembles. Becky has accompanied John Rutter’s Gloria, the original musical Wyonella-Cinderella Goes West, and the performance of Amahl and the Night Visitors in January 2010.
She has directed the Christmas Community Handbell Concert here at SHUMC and is an active member in the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR). In 2008, she attended the International Handbell Symposium held in Florida and worked with handbell ringers and directors from around the world. In 2010 she attended the area XI conference in Tucson, AZ.
Becky works part-time at SHUMC and also owns a medical transcription company. In addition to the music program at SHUMC, Becky also enjoys reading, gardening, swimming, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

ADULT VOCAL ENSEMBLES
Chancel Choir – sings weekly at the 9:15 or 10:45 am Sunday services. We welcome any and all adult singers with a wide range of musical backgrounds. There is no audition required. Nursery is provided for both rehearsals and on Sunday morning.

Good News Singers (GNS) – is a 13 member auditioned and selected ensemble from the Chancel Choir who sings spirited a cappella music. At this time we are not looking for any additional singers.

YOUTH & CHILDREN VOCAL ENSEMBLES
Cherub Choir – Age 4-1/2 – 2nd grade choir learns fundamentals of singing through fun songs and motions.Parents whose children attend a 9:15 class should plan to pick up their children from Sunday School and bring them to the Cherub rehearsal. Parents are then welcome to sit in on the rehearsal or they may go enjoy a cup of coffee and some fellowship, returning at 10:45 to pick up their children. The Cherub choir sings approximately once a month at the 10:45 service. On Sundays when the Cherubs sing during worship, parents are asked to pick up their children as they exit the sanctuary at the conclusion of their song.

Brass Ensemble – plays for all 3 worship services once a month. We welcome any player with at least 2 years of brass experience. No audition is required. Currently seeking an additional trumpet player.

Smoky Hill Players/Theater Arts Productions
Every year Smoky Hill does a musical or theater production. Some of our past productions have included: Men in Beards, Medieval Christmas Feast, and Wyonella-Cinderella Goes West. Sign-ups are posted frequently in the bulletin and on the music board outside of the choir room. Come be a part of this fun and exciting group!
