Opportunities in the Area of
Church Administration
Staff Liaison: Trisha Tankersley

CA1 Road Sign Changer – This person(s) would be responsible for making weekly changes to the sign on Smoky Hill Rd. Sunday or Monday are the days this needs to be done, you pick the time.

CA2 Phone Attendant – Covers the phone in the church office Sunday mornings from 8:00am to 11:00am.

CA3 Stuffers & Mailers – Assist office staff with monthly newsletter (Smoke Signals) the last Thursday of every month from 9:00am to 11:00am. The weekly bulletin (Smoke Puffs) is put together every Friday from 9:30am to 11:00am. Help is also needed with other church wide mailings from time to time the rest of the year.

CA4 Membership Secretaries – Maintains accurate accounting of church membership rolls on the computer and in the membership books. This is a 2 person job, one to do the books the other to maintain the database on the computer. The membership secretaries are also responsible for compiling all membership info for the annual charge conference.

CA5 Backup Office Support – Provides substitute secretarial support in the church office when the regular secretary is on vacation or out sick.

CA6 Flower Calendar Coordinator – Assist the church secretary in maintaining the flower calendar by calling to remind members who have signed up to provide flowers for the alter.

Volunteer Service Opportunities in the Area of
Music Ministry
Staff Liaison: Barb Yeatermeyer

MU1 Chancel Choir – Traditional Adult Choir ( Also, Jr’s & Sr’s in High school that are active in the Youth Choir). Rehearsals: Thursday night 7:00-8:30.

MU2 Cherub Choir – Kids Choir for ages Kindergarten to 2nd grade. Rehearsals: Sunday morning 9:35-10:00ish.

MU3 Kid’s Choir – Known as Kid’s For Christ Choir (KFC), 3rd- 5th grades. Rehearsals: Sunday evening 6:00-7:00 followed by their own youth group. Parental help is very needed!

MU4 Youth Choir – Grades 6-12. Rehearsals: Sunday morning 9:45-10:45. Sing 3rd Sunday at the 11:00 service.

MU5 Good News Singers – A Cappella auditioned group. Adults. Rehearsals: Thursday 6:00-6:55.

MU6 Crystal Bells – Adult 4-octave bell choir. Rehearsals: Tuesday Evening 7:00-8:30.

MU7 Generation Ringers – Adult and youth handbell choir. Rehearsals: Tuesday evening 6:00-7:00.

MU8 Brass Ensemble – Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Baritone, Tuba. Rehearsals: To be announced (TBA) when needed.

MU9 Woodwind Ensemble – Clarinet, Flute, Oboe, Sax. Rehearsals: TBA- when needed.

MU10 String Ensemble – Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass. Rehearsals: TBA- Planning a regular time again.

MU11 Flute Ensemble – Well, Flutes.

MU12 Orchestra – Everybody. Rehearsals: Sundays 5:00-6:00 1st & 3rd weeks generally.

MU13 Praise Team/Band – Singers, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard, other rhythm. Rehearsals: Sundays 5:00-6:00 2nd & 4th weeks generally. Performs 3rd Sunday of the month at the 11:00 service beginning September 2002.

MU14 Drama Team – Actors, set designers/builders, backstage help, costumes and make-up. Called as needed.

MU15 Liturgical Dance Team – Dancers, costumes, set, etc. Called as needed.

MU16 Choir Accompanist(s) – Subs needed from time to time.

MU17 Substitute Pianist – To fill in at worship while regular pianist on vacation or attending conferences, etc. Called when needed.

MU18 Music Dept. Secretary – Assist Music Director in administrative duties. Called as needed or semi-regular weekly schedule.

MU19 Line Dancing – Barb teaches line dances and takes groups to the Stampede from time to time. Fun!

Worship Ministry

WM1 Worship Team – Helps plan worship themes and special services.

WM2 Liturgist Coordinator – Recruits liturgists for worship services.

WM3 Usher Coordinator – Recruits, trains and schedules ushers for the different worship services.

WM4 Communion Coordinator – Provides communion elements; helps serve communion and cleans up after service. 1st Sunday of the month for 8:30 & 11:00 services, weekly for 9:45 service.

WM5 Acolyte Coordinator – Recruits, trains and schedules acolytes.

WM6 Liturgists – Assist in worship service.

WM7 Ushers – Assist in seating, counting and the offertory.

WM8 Acolytes – Young children, 3rd – 5th grades, assisting in the worship service as candle lighters and other tasks.

WM9 Hanging of the Greens Coordinator – Meal, decorations & activities for the Sunday prior to Advent.

WM10 Pew Attendants – Collect & re-stock attendance sheets and other materials in pew binders.

WM11 Lay Preachers/Speakers – Help conduct worship services when regular pastors are on vacation, attending conferences and special events.

WM12 A/V Coordinator & Trainer – Train staff in use of PowerPoint, audio/visual equipment; help develop resources for use in worship.

Volunteer Service Opportunities in the Area of
Youth Ministry
Staff Liaison: Bobbie D’Addario

YM1 Middle School Youth Group Sponsors – Adults that would like to work with middle school youth on Sunday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00. You will help with mission nights, fun nights, and program nights. Volunteers are asked to do 2 Sunday evenings per month.

YM2 Sr. High Youth Group Sponsors – Adults that would like to work with senior high youth on Sunday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00. You will help with mission nights, fun nights, and program nights. Volunteers are asked to do 2 Sunday evenings per month.

YM3 CASPER (Christian After School Program for Education & Recreation) Helpers – After school helpers to work with CASPER youth. Help is needed with crafts, tutoring, games, snacks and transportation. We meet on Tuesday & Wednesday from 2:30 to 5:30 beginning in October and ending in May.

YM4 Project Linus – A group of youth and adults meet to knit & crochet blankets for children in need. We meet the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00pm.

YM5 Embracing Body & Soul Volunteers – A class for girls in 7th – 9th grades focusing on loving and accepting yourself for the way you are. Volunteers are needed to help teach and guide the girls. This is offered once a year for 6 weeks.

YM6 Spiritual Awakenings Volunteers – A breakfast Bible study for Senior High youth. Volunteers are needed to make food and help with transportation. This is held on Wednesday mornings at 6:00am at Bobbie D’Addario’s house during the school year.

YM7 Youth Group Leaders – Adults who want to help shape the spiritual development of our youth.

YM8 Youth Group Chaperones – Adults who want to accompany our youth during their outings.

YM9 Mentors for Confirmation Students – Each adult mentor will be paired up with a confirmand. Mentors will be required to attend one class per month with the confirmand and one outside activity per month. Confirmation class runs from September through May.

YM10 Female Mentors for Faith Friends – Women needed to be matched one to one with middle school & high school girls to help foster inter-generational relationships. The women are secretly paired with the girls, leaving them little gifts and notes until they meet. Faith Friends runs from October to March.

YM11 Middle School SS Leaders – Adults needed to teach Sunday School for 6th, 7th & 8th grades. SS is at 11:00am, beginning in September and ending in May.

YM12 Senior High SS Leaders – Adults needed to teach Sunday School for Senior high youth. SS is at 11:00am, beginning in September and ending in May.

YM13 Disciple for Youth Leaders – Leaders needed to teach Disciples class for Senior high youth. Class will be on Sundays at 11:00am from September to May.

Prayer Ministry

PM1 Prayer Ministry Team Coordinator – Attend Admin Council & Caring Ministries Team meetings.

PM4 Prayer Chain Team Coordinator – Contact person, maintain listings, contact new volunteers.

PM5 Prayer Chain Team – Receives prayer requests, contact chain, prays in personal prayer time.

PM6 Web Site Prayer Chain – Receive prayer requests via SHUMC web site.

PM7 Prayer Retreat Coordinator – Work with staff to design, organize and coordinate prayer retreats.

PM8 Prayer Retreat Leaders – Facilitators for spiritual renewal through prayer.

Christian Education

Children’s Christian Education

CE1 Children’s Sunday School (SS) (9:45) Adult Guides – Teach children ages 2 through 5th grade. Part of a 3 or 4 person team to share responsibilities most Sunday mornings. September – May, 9:30am to 11:00am. Teacher training in August (4-6 hours), monthly teacher meetings (Sun. 12 noon to 1:30pm once a month) and planning time (approx. 1-2 hours a week).

CE2 Children’s SS(9:45) Youth Cadets – Youth will assist adult guides in the classroom. September – May, 9:30 to 10:45am most Sunday mornings. Cadets are encouraged to come to the August training and monthly teacher meetings. Possible planning times.

CE8 Children’s Summer SS Youth Cadets – Youth will assist adult guides in the classroom. Pick as many Sundays as you choose between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Sunday mornings from 9:30 – 10:45.

CE9 Children’s Education Team Member – Serve on the planning team for children’s education events. Monthly meetings usually on Sundays. Help as needed with events sponsored by the team, ie. Easter Party, Teacher Appreciation Dinner, Christmas program. Planning and prep time about 3 hours per month. Terms are usually 3 years, January – December.

CE10 KidzKlub (K-2nd) Leaders – Leading children Kindergarten – 2nd grade (usually 8-10 children) in fun, fellowship and Bible study most Sunday evenings. You will be part of a 2 or 3 member team. Runs from September – May from 5:45 to 8:15pm. Prep time of about 1 hour a week.

CE11 Kids For Christ (3rd-5th) Leaders – Leading children in 3rd – 5th grade (usually 18-20 children) in fun, fellowship and Bible study most Sunday evenings. You will be part of a 2 or 3 member team. Runs from September – May from 6:45 to 8:15pm. Prep time of about 1 hour a week.

CE12 Certificate/Bible Calligrapher – Use your skills to personalize 3rd grade Bibles in early September and Disciple certificates in May. On an as needed basis for other projects throughout the year.

CE13 Christian Education Supply Closet Superintendent – Use your desire for organization to keep our supply closet in good order. Responsible for notifying Christian Ed leader of items needing to be replaced and annual summer clean out. About 1 hour per month on your own schedule.

CE14 Rainbows (children/youth divorce recovery) Facilitators – Adults needed to work with children/youth experiencing the death of a loved one or the divorce of parents. You will be working with a group of 2-5 children. Times are 6 Wednesday evenings a year (Oct/Nov and Feb/March) from 6:45-8:30pm plus a Saturday session (9:00am-2:00pm) at the end of each session. There is 1 mandatory training class (6 hrs.) in Aug./Sept. before starting and weekly prep time of about 20 minutes.

CE15 Teacher Appreciation Event Volunteers – Annual event for all of our teachers. Volunteers are needed for 1-2 hours of setup, serve and/or clean-up. Time to be announced.

CE16 Teacher Appreciation Event – Bring Food – Bring food for teacher appreciation event. Someone will call you to let you know when and what should be brought.

CE17 Easter Party Assistants – Volunteers needed to help assist with crafts, set-up, egg hunt, and/or clean-up at annual Easter Party. Held on Saturday afternoon the day before Palm Sunday for 2-3 hours.

CE18 Trick or Treat for UNICEF Driver – Drivers needed to help take groups of 3-6 children/youth into the neighborhood so they can collect coins for UNICEF. This is done on the Sunday evening before Halloween, 1-2 hours.

CE19 Trick or Treat for UNICEF Party Planner – Plan and serve the Halloween party for the “trick of treaters” the Sunday evening before Halloween. Plan on 1-2 hours of prep time and –1-2 hours for the party.

CE20 SS Secretaries – Volunteers needed to pass out attendance books, collect books and offering and tally the money. We are in need of 2 people, one for the 9:45 hour and one for the 11:00 hour. You need to be available most Sunday mornings from September through May from 9:30-10:45am or 10:45am-12:00pm.

CE21 Children’s Sabbath Decorations – Plan and/or set-up decorations for annual event. Set-up Saturday morning before Children’s Sabbath (usually Sunday before Ash Wednesday, Jan/Feb) 2-3 hours.

CE22 Children’s Sabbath Costumes – Plan and/or prepare simple costumes for children for annual event (usually Sunday before Ash Wednesday, Jan/Feb). Hours needed vary.

CE23 SS Christmas Program Costumes – Plan and/or prepare costumes for annual Christmas program. Sunday in December, hours needed vary.

CE24 SS Christmas Program Sets – Design and/or construct or obtain sets/props for annual children’s event. Sunday in December, hours needed vary.

CE25 Refreshments for children’s rehearsals – Refreshments needed for Christmas program rehearsal, Children’s Sabbath rehearsal and possibly other programs. You will receive a call letting you know when and what to bring for one of the rehearsals.

Adult Christian Education

CE26 Adult SS Leaders – Lead a new or established SS class. Most Sundays from September to May. Times will be 9:45 or 11:00 SS hour. Prep time is about 1-2 hours a week.

CE27 Substitute Adult SS Leaders – Serve as needed for your own class.

CE28 Disciple Bible Leaders (Disciple graduates) – Serve as a leader of Disciple I, II, III or IV. Time of class TBD. Prep time of 30-45 minutes a week beyond class reading. These classes are 2 hours from September to May. There will also be a Disciple retreat in May

CE29 Small Group Leaders – You pick the time and topic. Time of year and prep time TBD by you in coordination with Director of Christian Education.

CE30 Divorce Recovery Leaders – Lead a 6 week class on divorce recovery. Class is on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm beginning in October and or February. Prep time of about 1 hour a week.

CE31 Spirituality Retreat Workshop Leaders – Lead a workshop in a retreat setting with a topic to be chosen jointly with retreat coordinator. Time required varies.

CE32 Grief Recovery Support Group Leaders – Lead a support group on Wednesday evenings, 7-8:00pm or time can be determined by the group. Length of time TBD by group and leader.

CE33 Walk to Emmaus Sponsors – Serve as a sponsor for new Walk participants. Time TBD.

CE34 Walk Thru the Bible-Registration – Work at the registration table on the day of the event. (Jan. 12, 2003) 1-2 hours.

CE35 Walk Thru the Bible- Refreshments Coordinator – Coordinate the refreshments and volunteers to bring refreshments. Time needed would be 5-10 hours for 2 weeks prior to the event and 6 hours the day of the event. You will receive a call letting you know when and what to bring.

CE36 Walk Thru the Bible-Bring Refreshments – Volunteer to bring refreshments on the day of the event. You will receive a call letting you know when and what to bring.

CE37 Walk Thru the Bible-Nursery Attendant & Assistants – Work in the nursery on the day of the event taking care of participants children. Time needed 5-6 hours.

CE38 Walk Thru the Bible-Ticket Sales – Sell tickets before/after worship services during the 6 weeks prior to the event. Time will vary based on desire and availability.

CE39 Walk Thru the Bible-Product Sales – Work at the product sales tables on the day of the event. Time needed 1-2 hours.

CE40 Adult Education Team Member – Serve as a member of the planning team for adult education. Usually meet on a weeknight every other month. Planning and prep time and extra time around special events will be needed. Commitment is usually for three years, January to December.

Nursery

CE41 Adult Nursery Attendants (Sunday A.M. and/or Sunday P.M. | Weekday A.M. and/or Weekday P.M.)

  • Sunday A.M. Serve as a nursery worker for 1 service as many times per month as desired. (1 time each week) as available. Some paid positions. Year round. Sunday P.M. Most Sunday evenings from September to May, 5:45 to 8:15pm. Some paid positions.

CE42 Youth Nursery Attendants (Sunday morning and/or weekday evenings)

  • Sunday A.M. – Serve as nursery worker for 1 service as many times per month as desired (1 time each week) as available.
  • Weekdays P.M. – Usually begins in September to May, but may continue through summer. Days and times TBD.

CE43 Moms and Tots Nursery (Summer Youth Helpers) - Youth needed the 2nd and 4th Thursdays during June, July & August from 8:45 to 11:15am as available. Youth will help the adult workers with the children.

CE44 Nursery Team Members – Serve as a member of the team to do planning, policies etc. in running of the church nursery. Usually meet 1 weeknight per month plus possible additional time in support of team projects such as peaches sales, First Aid/CPR classes, etc. Commitment is usually 3 years- January to December.

CE45 Nursery Toy Washer – You will be contacted on a rotating basis to wash toys from the nursery. Time varies, the more volunteers we have signed up the fewer times each family or individual will be called on. Cleaning usually takes 1 hour.

CE46 Nursery Supply Stocker – Volunteer needed to check and purchase supplies as needed for the nursery. All purchases to be reimbursed. Time varies, but no more than 1 hour per month.

Vacation Bible Camp (VBC)
Staff Liaison: Linda Ruggles

VB1 Director – Coordinate VBC, choose curriculum, responsible for overall program. VBC is the last week of June 9-12:00pm. Time needed is 5-10 hours a week from March to mid June and 20-30 hours a week for the last 2 weeks of June.

VB2 Snack Coordinator – Coordinate all snacks and volunteers to bring snacks. Time needed is 5-10 hours a week mid June till VBC and 20 hours VBC week.

VB3 Snack Assistants – Assist snack coordinator during VBC week. Time needed is 3-15 hours as available.

VB4 Music Assistants – Assist music director during VBC week- 15 hours.

VB5 Recreation Leader – Coordinate recreation, about 5 hours prep time and 17 hours VBC week.

VB6 Recreation Assistants – Assist recreation coordinator during VBC week- 15 hours.

VB7 Age-Group Chaperones – Shepherd age group to and from activities and assist in activities. Time needed is 17 hours VBC week.

VB8 Age-Group Assistants – Youth positions shepherding age group to and from activities. Time needed is 17 hours VBC week.

VB9 Arts and Crafts Coordinator – Coordinate and prepare arts and crafts and volunteers to bring needed items. Time needed is 5-10 hours a week mid May to start of VBC, 20-25 hours VBC week.

VB10 Arts and Crafts Assistants – Assist coordinator with preparation and assist during VBC week. Time needed is 5-10 hours a week prior to VBC, 17 hours VBC week.

VB11 Youth Helpers – Youth to assist in areas as needed during VBC. Time needed 3-15 hours as available.

VB12 Arts and Crafts Prep Volunteers – Advance preparation of materials prior to VBC week. Time varies.

VB13 Storyteller – Serve as storyteller during VBC week. Prep time of 5 hours mid June, plus 17 hours during VBC week.

VB14 Celebration Coordinator – Coordinate celebrations and lead during VBC week. Prep time of 5-10 hours mid June and 20 hours during VBC week.

VB15 Nursery Coordinator – Serve as adult in nursery for volunteer’s children. Time needed is 18 hours VBC week.

VB16 Nursery Assistants – Adult or youth positions helping in nursery during VBC week. Time needed is 3-18 hours as available.

VB17 Photographer – Take photos during VBC week and have photos developed. Time needed 5 hours max.

VB18 Set Painters – Preparation of sets/props prior to VBC week, hour vary.

VB19 Skit Participants – Act in skits during VBC week and possible rehearsal prior to VBC week. Time needed 1-3 hours as available.

Volunteer Service Opportunities in the Area of
Community & Mission Ministries
Staff Liaison: Bobbie D’Addario

CM1 Outreach of Love – Provides individually wrapped bologna & cheese sandwiches to day laborers in downtown Aurora. You can leave wrapped sandwiches in the refrigerator on Sunday mornings. This is a great family mission project.

CM2 Bread Ministry – Takes day-old bread from King Soopers to a church where it is distributed to the hungry and homeless. This is generally picked up on a weekday morning.

CM3 Tough Love – Assists parents within the community in handling their challenging children. Meets on Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00pm.

CM6 Boy Scouts

CM7 Dove Christian Academy – A full-time private school providing a Christian oriented education for grades 1 through 8. Contact Eileen Jones at 303-690-9816.

CM8 Habitat for Humanity – Volunteers are needed for hands on construction of homes in the community. Includes Women’s Build, Loaves & Fishes and projects in Brush, Greeley & Alamosa.

CM9 Fleece Navidad – Annual mission to provide fleece sweatsuits for residents of a community nursing home for Christmas. You are asked to pick the name(s) of nursing home resident(s) and buy a sweatsuit for them.

CM10 Thanksgiving Baskets – Prepare and deliver Thanksgiving baskets to needy neighbors in conjunction with a local high school. Help is needed with donations, sorting and deliveries during the month of November.

CM11 MS Walk – Participate in the annual walk for Multiple Sclerosis. This is usually held in May.

CM12 Gathering Place – Support the battered women’s shelter via different activities.

CM13 Annual Conference Lay Ministry Outreach – Annual mission outreach project in conjunction with the Rocky Mountain Annual Conference.

CM14 Brother’s Redevelopment – Paint and fix up homes for the elderly.

CM15 Urban Peak – Community mission opportunity for the youth.

CM16 Denver Urban Ministries (DenUM) – A variety of programs available for your service. Contact Bobbie for more information.

CM17 Undies Sunday – Provides new undergarments for needy children in the community.

CM18 Family Homestead – Provide paint and financial support for homes in urban areas.

CM19 Haiti Boys School – Provide financial and material support for the school.

Volunteer Service Opportunities in the Area of
General Ministry
Staff Liaison: Rev. Mack Lovvorn/Rev. Marti Zimmerman

GM1 United Methodist Women (UMW) – UMW is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. SHUMW meets quarterly, 2 evening meetings & 2 Saturday AM meetings in members homes with a speaker or activity. Open positions are for a co-president, another to assist with membership/nurture/outreach and nominations. Projects in the past have been Faith Friends, Donuts for Dads, Afternoon Tea as a major fundraiser. For more info contact Fran Krech 303-690-1799.

GM2 UMW Book Brunch Bunch – A book discussion group that meets the 4th Wednesday of the month at 9:30am in the church library. A light brunch and fellowship are shared. Contact Donna Dahn for more info. 303-699-8918.

GM3 UMW Book Night Readers – A book discussion group that meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at Elizabeth Larsen’s house. You can contact Elizabeth at 303-693-3255.

GM4 UMW Quilting Circle – Women gather to share skills & talents in keeping an American tradition alive. Completed quilts are given to active church members or a close family member who is going into a nursing home. Quilters meet at church at 7:00pm the 2nd Tuesday of each month. All quilters welcomed. GM5 United Methodist Men – Monthly breakfast meetings where men share fellowship and program planning concerning the different projects sponsored by the Men’s Club. The Men’s Club organizes the annual Pumkin Patch fundraiser.

GM6 Board of Trustees – Considers strategic issues relating to the church building & its assets. The trustees organize 2 church cleanup days (Spring & Fall) each year. Trustees are nominated to the board and commitments are for 3 years. They meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm at church.

GM7 Finance Team – Considers the income & expenses of the church and sets the overall budget. The team meets monthly at church. Needs for this team are assistants for the church’s annual financial audit.

GM8 Counters – Individuals needed to count the collection each Sunday. Contact Bob Graf for more information.

GM9 Memorial Committee – Volunteer knowledgeable in computers is needed to periodically update the memorial book which maintains a record of gifts given to the church in memory of a loved one. Contact Judy Duncan for more information: 303-693-5490.

GM10 Community Life Team – Provides opportunities for the congregation to gather in celebration & fellowship.

GM11 Rally Day Coordinator –Volunteer(s) needed to help coordinate Rally Day, held the 2nd Sunday in September.

GM12 Multi-Cultural Fest Team – Plans & organizes an all church event held in conjunction with Worldwide Communion Sunday.

GM13 Ski Trip Coordinator – Volunteer needed to coordinate all church ski trip.

GM14 Summer Recreation Coordinators – Volunteers needed for campouts, hikes, picnics, softball and adult volleyball.

GM15 Family Retreat Team – Volunteers needed to help plan the family retreat.

GM16 Golf Outing Coordinator – Volunteer needed to coordinate the golf tournament.

GM18 Moms & Tots – Stay at home moms meet for adult conversation, faith and friendship. Meet the 1st & 3rd Thursday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in rooms 11, 12 & 14. Childcare provided. Call Rev. Marti (303) 690-9816.

GM19 Hospitality Team –Welcome people to the church. Help visitors and prospective new members find appropriate information about church ministries.

GM20 Greeters – Welcomes all people to the church and helps visitors find Sunday School classes.

GM21 Refreshment Coordinator – Arranges for refreshments in the narthex on Sunday mornings.

GM22 New Member Mentors – Volunteers, either individuals or couples to assist new members in joining the church ministries or activities.

GM24 Staff Pastor Parish Relations (SPPR) – Provides communication and support between church staff and congregation.

GM25 Stewardship Education Task Force – Offers financial education, planning, and participates in the annual stewardship campaign.

GM26 Building Committee – Responsible for developing new building plans and overseeing construction process.

GM27 Care Team – Confidential group meets Tuesday mornings (every other Monday during the summer months) to respond to prayer requests and pastoral care needs.

GM29 Stitchin’ & a Grinnin’ – This group is for anyone who needs an evening away to work on their own handwork project and fellowship. We meet the 1st Monday of each month at the home of Linda Ruggles in the Greenfield subdivision. We love to have new folks join us so bring your stitching and come on over! GM33 Health & Wellness Team – This group offers the congregation health and wellness opportunities throughout the year i.e. flu shots, bone density scans, blood drives and many more services. GM36 Childcare for Moms & Tots – Volunteers needed to provide child care during the Moms & Tots meetings. Meetings are the 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:00-11:00am at church. Contact Rev. Marti for more information: 303-690-9816.

GM37 Pumpkin Patch Coordinator – This person(s) is responsible for coordinating the annual Pumpkin Patch fundraiser. Some of the duties are setting up the pumpkin patch prior to the initial delivery, getting volunteers to man the booth etc.

GM38 Pumpkin Patch Treasurer – Responsible for collecting the daily receipts, making the daily deposits and calling in the daily sales to Pumpkin Patch USA.

GM39 Pumpkin Patch Sales People – Volunteers needed to man the pumpkin patch booth for 2 hour increments. Open to everyone, but children need to be supervised by an adult. This is a great family volunteer opportunity.

GM40 Pumpkin Unloaders – An “all hands” opportunity to help the pumpkin patch. The initial load is usually scheduled for the last Saturday in September (a full semi trailer) with a resupply somewhere around the middle of October. Wheelbarrows and/or wagons are very handy to help with the unloading.

MM1 Drivers – Drive the church van for youth outings and other outings. Also need other drivers willing to take a carload and drivers to haul materials to DenUM.

MM2 Gardeners/Lawn Care – Help maintain the church grounds.

MM3 Semi-annual Church Clean-Up – Spring and Fall cleaning of the church and grounds.

MM4 Small Maintenance Projects – We need a handyman to do small fix up projects around the church on an as needed basis.

MM5 Snow Removal – This volunteer(s) would remove the snow from the walkways on Sunday mornings before services begin and on weekdays as needed.

MM6 Church Van Maintenance – A volunteer is needed to take the church van in for regular maintenance i.e. oil changes, tune ups etc.

MM7 Kitchen Cleaner(s) – Volunteers are needed to come in once a week to clean the kitchen, wash dishes, put things away etc. you set your own hours and day.
